• Exclusive container. A 20ft or 40ft container will be loaded with your goods and then sent directly to Latvia. We recommend this option to customer who are looking to move a larger amount of goods and who may have a tighter schedule to meet.
• Shared container load. This service is where you share the container with other Pickfords customers moving to Latvia. The team will give you are guaranteed delivery date and this will usually be within seven days of loading in the UK. We recommend this option to customers who can be a little more flexible with timings.
• Group Shared container. We will pack and load your goods at your UK residence and they will then be sent to our local warehouse. You will share the container with other customers. The consignment will be consolidated and then sent on for it’s onward transit to Latvia. You will get an agreed delivery window and nearer the time you will receive a specific scheduled delivery date. This is a very cost effective way of sending your goods to Latvia, however flexibility is important.

Can I move my car to Latvia?

Things to consider before moving to Latvia

• The average shipping time to Latvia is 3 to 5 working days, however this may be subject to change. Your shipment will arrive in the Port of Riga where it will be subject to inspection by customs officers.
• If you looking to import your pet you will need your vet to complete an Annex IV form 10 days prior to the import date
• If you are a permanent resident of Latvia, you are entitled to the same healthcare as Latvian nationals. If you are a temporary resident and live in Latvia in connection with your employment or you are self-employed, you and your family members can receive state-funded healthcare services.
• If you are planning to study in Latvia, make sure you meet all visa requirements before you travel.
• The UK has a double taxation agreement with Latvia to ensure you do not pay tax on the same income in both countries.
