Currie & Brown

Building

Pickfords supported Currie & Brown to relocate it's headquarters in London, whilst ensuring business continuity.

Background

Currie & Brown is a leading global asset management and construction consultancy, offering project management, cost management and advisory services across both the public and private sectors.

Requirement

Currie & Brown needed to relocate its headquarters from its current site at 40 Holborn Viaduct to its new site at 150 Holborn Viaduct, in London.

Business continuity was key to Currie & Brown, as was the protection of both premises.

The company also wanted to retain the same departmental groupings but in a new layout to suit the new modern office space.

Solution

Pickfords created a project plan within 7 days due to time constraints, so key stakeholder involvement was essential to ensure all parties were aware of the project's requirements.

Pickfords decommissioned IT workstations, packed monitors and AV, dismantled locker blocks and desking, and reassembled them at the new address to the pre-agreed layouts.

Project planning meetings were held with security teams of both buildings to determine access requirements and to promote a collaborative approach.

Night, and day shifts, formed part of the project sequence to ensure teams could work as productively as possible and that every stage of work led logically into the next.

All IT setups were recommissioned and in full working order before Pickfords staff left the site, and locker blocks were dismantled down to flat panels and rebuilt carefully at the new site.

Summary

Pickfords successfully relocated Currie & Brown to its new headquarters, with no disruption to business operations, or any damage to furniture and equipment.

Items relocated and set up in the new office, included; 218 desks, pedestals, and chairs; 237 monitors and arms; 12 large locker blocks, 6 racks, 8 AV screens, 3 safes, and 155 full crates.
