Our international shipping service is designed to safely send your goods to Japan, no matter their size. Whether you are sending a whole house load of goods or just a small gift for a family member in Japan, our service can cater for you.

Our international shipping service

Our service offers two container options for your shipment to Japan. The size of your load will ultimately decide which container option you use.
  • Exclusive container: This option is best for larger consignments, such as whole house moves and vehicles. Your belongings will be sent to Japan in their own container and you will pay for the entire consignment.
  • Shared container: This option is best for smaller consignments, such as your personal belongings or gifts. Your belongings will be sent in a shared shipping container and you will only pay for the space they take up.

How does it work?

Our international shipping service is designed to be as hassle-free as possible. Simply follow the steps below:

  • Step 1. Fill in our online quote form.
  • Step 2. We will arrange for your goods to be surveyed, and you will be provided with your free quote.
  • Step 3. Move day! We will arrive at your property to collect your items, and if you’ve requested our packing service, this will take place at this stage. If you’re sending baggage, our team will ensure the boxes are delivered prior to move day.
  • Step 4. Your goods will be sent to Japan.
  • Step 5. We will work with our agents in Japan to ensure your consignment is cleared through customs and delivered to their new location in Japan.

Shipping your pet to Japan

Japan has varying regulations when it comes to pet importation, depending on the type of animal it is. These regulations are subject to change, therefore please make sure you do further research before organising your shipment. If you are looking to import dogs or cats:
  • Ensure your pet has been, microchipped, had rabies vaccinations (at least twice,) and a rabies antibody test.
  • Dogs and cats entering from a non-designated region must wait 180 days following their rabies antibody test – your pet will be quarantined if you do not stick to this.
  • You need to notify the Animal Quarantine Service in Japan at least 40 days before your pet is due to arrive in Japan.
  • Before leaving the UK your dog or cat will have to undergo clinical examinations by a registered vet. You will be provided with a certificate.
  • Your pet will be inspected in Japan by the Animal Quarantine Service.
  • Quarantine is only mandatory for pets that don’t meet Japan’s import regulations.
There are specific airports that pets must arrive in, when being imported into Japan. Please check with your move manager what these are.
