Shared or groupage consignments

If you are taking less than a full house, Pickfords offers space in a container, which is effectively shared with other customers going to the same destination.

This is a cost effective method of shipment but transit times can be longer as there is a period of consolidation prior to departure.

Airfreight

For those items you require quickly, airfreight offers a faster transit time. Many families elect to take "survival" shipments of their personal belongings.

Airfreight is charged per kilo and is generally more expensive than sea freight.

Similar transit options are available with air carriers, including direct, consolidated and trans-shipment.

Your goods will be cased to ensure maximum protection during transit.

International storage services

In the course of planning for your international move, you may need to arrange storage for your belongings, either in the UK or at your destination country.

International goods storage is a cost-effective solution, particularly if you have to limit your shipment size, are renting your home out while you are away, or are moving into a hotel or rented accommodation prior to finding a permanent home in your new country.
